This report is the result of a fruitful collaboration between UNESCO and Global Schools Forum (GSF) under the umbrella of the Global Education Coalition. This report, which builds on the findings of the UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report 2021/2 on ‘Non-state actors in education: Who chooses? Who loses?’, explores the design and implementation of regulation of non-state education across five low- and middle- income countries.

This handout aims to summarise the programmes that address the concerns of psychosocial support (PSS) of refugee caregivers of young children. We specifically attempted to identify programmes for caregivers with children from the age of zero to when they formally enter primary school (between the ages of six and eight).

Commissioned by IDP Foundation, the All Hands On Deck For SDG4 Action Toolkit comprises a set of resources including toolkit, case studies, presentations, guides and facilitator notes to support better collaboration and integration across national, subnational and regional education systems. This handout aims to summarise the childcare programmes that are currently available for refugee families living in protracted crises, ie, contexts in which refugees have been living in exile for a prolonged period. The handout is informed by literature and desk review, expert consultations, and discussions with over 25 ECED providers serving in refugee settings.
